This is regardless of grip, hands down feels better then any Kershaw, Spyderco, ZT, or Hinderer. Of all the knives I have ever owned, my Striders have felt the most natural in hand. Having owned both a production and custom, as well as other makers folders, I feel like shedding some of my experience here. This tends to be a reoccurring topic not just here, but on many well known forums. That PT CC will still be mine one day though.one day. As mentioned, I do want one, because I also think they're 'cool' in appearance, but the company is pretty much the opposite of Spyderco in that their grinds are not ideal, their QC and warranty department isn't ideal, their prices are high, and the owner isn't exactly earning the respect Sal has earned. They sell 'cool factor' and demand is in their favor at the moment. If you're known for lockup issues, I don't think you have earned the right to call you knives hard use folders. Most ads selling used Striders have to define them as 'old' or 'new' lockup. I've dealt with that and so have others (some collectors fool themselves into believing that is proper lockup because it has more 'life' left in it, but a properly treated lock bar will last longer than you'd need it to). 10-15% lockup is not great lockup, especially on a 'hard use' folder as it is being sold. Strider, and even Hinderer, make excuses for poor lockup and other issues that are often quite serious. They don't sell better performance, most Spyderco knives will out-cut them (and Striders/Hinderers are not 'harder use' depending on which knives are being discussed). When I buy a cheap knife, something <$30, I don't care so much about perfect centering, but when you buy a more expensive knife, particularly one like a CRK/Hinderer/Strider, you're paying for quality and perfection.
